It has been 63 days since I landed in Birmingham, England and started my some-what adventurous life across the pond.  Can you believe I have been here that long or it took me that long to find a place to live?  By the way, I still am living in a hotel.  The reason why it is taking so long is that I have no credit or bank account in the UK so the referencing is slow going.  I called and applied for a bank account and sent off the paperwork, so hopefully in the next week I can get into the flat.  It is slow going, but oh well.

So, I am not sure if I should answer comments under a comment or out there in the blog.  I have done it both ways, so oh well, you would have to just look around to see where I answered your questions.

Me:  So, writer, where are you writing from?

Writer: Jordan from Las Vegas

Me: So, Jordan, what can I answer for you?

Jordan: Here are a couple of questions.  First one, WONDERING-What is your favorite hotel so far?

Me: Well, let’s see.  I have been to 4 so far, all in varying lengths.  If I had to choose, I would say the Ricoh Arena, and it was the most expensive.  I liked it best because the commute to work was only 2 minutes, 3 if I had to wait for the lift (elevator).  I had a room with a small kitchen so it was like living in a studio apartment.

Jordan: (Again Wondering)-Are you liking the UK so far?

Me: So far so good.  I am learning a lot about stuff, definitely slang.  The best part so far is meeting new people and making new friends.  These same new friends have been showing me around, and getting me out of the hotel since I still do not have a car.

Jordan: (Yes, Another Wonder)-Are you getting used to the UK?

Me: Yes, I am.  Most things are not so different, so it is very easy to adjust.  It would be very different if I had to learn another language.  Thanks for visiting my blog.  Another Writer with a comment.  Hello, Writer, what can I answer for you today?

Jordan:  It’s me again.  How did the Ricoh kick you out?  (Knocking the door down or screaming at you) HeHe

Me: Hello Jordan, long time no write.  Just for the audience’s understanding, Jordan wrote in on Halloween and again a couple of days later.  So, no, the Ricoh did not scream at me, however, when I tried to extend my stay, there said there was no room.  If I wanted to I can check in a day later than stay for a week, and then check out again.  I decided not to and (with my boss’ blessing) find a less expensive place to live while the letting agents sort out my references.

Jordan: (A part of your letter) I am the president of the procrastinator’s club. (comment to that) (According to Mother)(MINE!)  I am also a procrastinator!!!!! Exciting (RIGHT!)
(But hey, there are excuses)
1. Distractions
2. Other events
3. Just Plain ol’ boring (sometimes)
4. (Part of #3) People rub it into your face that you have to do something so dull while they have a good time.
They say that is supposed to help you get done ,but (for me) that puts you under pressure!  I am not good under pressure!  Well, hope you get your flat soon!!!!!!:]

Me: Well, Jordan, you can join the club.  And yes, there are a lot of reasons, however, most times not so good ones.  I sometimes think, darn it, if only I did that yesterday.  But oh well.  Dwelling on lost time is a waste of time, and I am sure we all have better things to do with our time.

I think that all the time we have today.  Hope you all enjoyed the show, and tune it next time and thanks for visiting.
